last minute gift guide for creatives 2025

It’s that time of year where there are a million gift guides out there. Here’s one that’s a little different – skip the buy buy buy and try some DIY!

SCRAPTASTIC

Got scraps?

Curate a set of scraps for a creative friend or small creative person in your lfe, then set up a time to work on a creative project together!

You could sew or collage the scraps and make something fun – cards, gift tags, a composition to frame, or even a first improv quilt block. No limits – just your creativity and a bunch of scraps.

Wrap them in an upcycled box or pair with glue and card for a full making kit.

A SPECIAL GIFT

Hunt your home for these 5 Elements, download and print out the accompanying explanation, and invite someone into an imaginative, immersive experience with this thought provoking gift.

The aim here is to shop your own things at home, get creative and make a special gift for someone.

From little things big things grow.

Element 1: A container

Find a jar, empty flower pot, tin, or even a nice box (you can upcycle packaging, maybe cover it in fabric or paper)

Element 2: A pack of seeds or some beans or lentils

Got some unused seed packs around your home? Or a few beans or lentils? Put them in a piece of paper and write what they are on the outside. You could also include any sowing directions.

Element 3: A teabag

Gif someone your favourite tea. Add a few teabags, or if you use loose leaf, make a small pack of tea.

Element 4: A candle

Repurpose or re-gift a candle you have at home. Even a simple tealight will do.

Element 5: A reusable bag

Source a tote you no longer use, make a drawstring bag or repurpose or re-gift a drawstring bag you have at home. The idea is to give someone something they can use in place of single use packaging.
